UP NRI Website

UP NRI Website

The Client

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a new initiative to create a dedicated NRI Department to respond to the investment enquiries and general benefits provided to Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and Person of Indian Origins (PIOs).

This department would not only work to address the problems faced by the NRI community in the state but would also encourage the NRIs/PIOs/OCIs of Uttar Pradesh origin to invest here.

The NRI Department, set up in Udyog Bandhu, has already initiated the process of contacting Indian embassies to collate data and profiles of persons of Uttar Pradesh origin.

Client wants to develop a fresh website in .NET Platform with MS SQL Server as database with below features.

Business Needs

A content Management System (CMS) is a system used to manage the content of a website. Typically, a CMS consists of two elements: the Content Management Application (CMA) and the Content Delivery Application (CDA). The CMA element allows the content manager or author, who may know Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a website without needing the expertise of a webmaster. The CDA element uses and compiles the information to update the website. The feature of a CMS system may vary but must include Web-based publishing, format management, revision, control, indexing, search & retrieval. Following are the major requirements of the project

Our Solution

As per client’s requirement and suggestion, we have implemented SilverCMS-4.0 with dynamic features. A robust and easy to use CMS is to be integrated, configured and installed to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation. Database has to be incorporated to store page content, metadata and other information that might be needed by the system. A presentation layer displays the content to Portal on a set of templates. Dynamic URL rewriting is provisioned in this Portal when the page or other data is created. Administration is typically done through browser-based interfaces. This CMS allows non-technical users to make changes to the Portal with little training which typically requires an authorized user to set up and add features, but it is primarily a Portal maintenance tool for non-technical staff.

  • Dynamic Portal
